About Integrated Data Management System (IDMS)
IDMS brings the data generated by the various departments and systems of the municipal office in the central hub. A web application consists of a dashboard at the user’s end and a data management panel to manage municipal data for the municipality team. The system is used to effectively share the data between the department and to make the potential data available for the general public.
The system objective is
To provide DMS tools with comprehensive features in order to improve or enhance the current database management mechanisms of the Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City office.
To generate interactive and storytelling visualization and dashboard from the available datasets.
To increase the usability of data and DMS software tools with efficiency and reduce manual frictional effort on existing database management mechanisms.
To make produced datasets easy to access and shareable to the general public.
The datasets published in the system are generated by the various management information systems (MIS) used by the municipality, which includes systems link the Integrated Education Management System (IEMIS), Health Management Information System (HMIS), etc. The system is managed by the Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City. The municipality team handles and updates the system, whereas other departments of the municipality help by providing the latest datasets.
IDMS is developed by Open Knowledge Nepal in partnership with the Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City office and is supported by the Data for Development (D4D) Nepal.
